If a child becomes aware of the stimulus, it may stop her fury to get the benefits. As an example I am using situation, which had place in my life. During last summer I went with my mom and two small brothers to tennis practice. After practice our mother decide that we are going to shopping center, because she need to buy gift for grandmother’s birthday. Boys were tired after practice and they started to shout â€Å"We do not want to go to the shopping center !â€Å". Mom said that there is no discussion, because we have to buy this gift. Mar ek and Jaan were still shouting that they do not want to go there. They showed unacceptable behavior. Then mom said, if they will stop and go with us, they would be albe to play on Ipad on the way home. They immediately stopped their wrong behavior and went silently to the shopping center with us. In my opinion it is a good example of positive reinforcement, because when mom has proposed them reward they quickly change behavior. On the way home I could observe example of negative reinforcement. As mom decided before as a reward they got Ipad to play during travel to home. At the beginning boys were playing together, sharing Ipad every few minutes. but... After 20 minutes we had huge war in the car, Marek and Jaan were fighting with each other and shouting so loud. Mom was not able to drive, it was really dangerous situation so I decided to take Ipad and try to stop their wrong behavior. In my opinion this is very good example of negative reinforcement, because by taking Ipad I stopp ed boys bad behavior. In the second case, we have to consider that dogs cannot reason like humans do, so we have to use different strategies to shape their behavior. With the help of his teacher, Siobhan, he decides to write a book about his attempt to solve this mystery. During his investigation, Christopher meets people living on the same street but whom he has never met before. He eventually discovers that Mr. Shears, a neighbor, had an affair with his mother, Judy. Christopher records this as well as other discoveries. His father, Ed, discovers his writings and confiscates them but the son tries to find them back. In his search, Christopher finds letters from his mother which his father had hidden. Supposedly, Judy had died of a heart attack as told by Ed, and now Christopher comes to know that she is still alive. He is quite shocked that his father would lie to him about this. On the bed, he vomits and groans until his father comes back. Realizing that Christopher had read the letters, Ed cleans up Christopher and then tells him the truth about Judy and confesses to killing Wellington in his anger to Mrs. Shears. Christopher, however, feared that his father may also kill him, and so decides to get away and look for his mother. He embarks finally on an adventurous trip to London, guided by his mother's address from her letters. With Christopher with her, Judy eventually leaves Mr. Shears, and then moves into a rented room in Swindon, London. Judy agrees to daily visits from Ed for Christopher who remains afraid of his father. The story ends with Ed promising that he will rebuild trust with Christopher and the son asserting that he will take further A-level exams and attend university. Autism. The main character, Christopher Boone goes to a school for students with "special needs" as he has a form of autism. As the novel opens, Christopher tells us "I know all of the countries of the world and their capital cities, and every prime number up to 7,057." He can rattle off prime numbers and square roots with the ease, and can speak about the origins of the universe. But he has more problems with people. He has trouble figuring out other people's feelings, and he doesn't understand why they tell lies. Strangers, noise and unfamiliar situations terrify him. Christopher can be childlike at times, but he can also be chillingly detached. In his favorite dream, he tells us, a virus has killed all the people who look at one another's faces when they talk; the only survivors are ''special people like me,'' who ''like being on their own'' and who are as ''shy and rare.'' With this, Christopher appears to understand that he is different from other people. A whiz at math, he enjoys puzzles and has a photographic memory. The channel assigns and dedicates the whole of its capacity during the entire time of a connection (Furukawa, et al., 2010). This means that in the even that there is no data going through the channel, the capacity of the channel goes to waste. This makes circuit switching to perform below the desired efficiency levels. The second property is the delay associated with circuit switching. Circuit switching has a long initial delay (Sun, et al, 2013). The time that this type of switching takes to establish a circuit to start the process of communication is long. One of them is a rhyme scheme, which is used in almost all of William Blake’s poems. The rhyme scheme of this poem is AA BB and continues this way in the other stanzas of them poem as well. In the second stanza he says â€Å"I watered it in fears †¦ and I sunned it with smiles†; here William Blake is using a metaphor to compare his anger to a plant or tree. He describes how he let his anger toward an enemy grow. Symbolism The third literary device William Blake used symbolism. The title of the poem, â€Å"the poison tree† itself is symbolism which represent the anger of the speaker. Rhyme scheme = AB AB CC DD In this poem there are a few literary devices. One of the first ones I identified was alliteration. In the first line of the first stanza the speaker says â€Å"Wild winds weep†, this is alliteration because all three words start with the letter W, and there is a repetition of the consonant sound. This is also personification because the wind is given human qualities’ the speaker says that the wind is weeping, so there therefore it’s and alliteration as well as personification. In this poem there is also a rhyme scheme, which is AB AB CC DD, which continues throughout the rest of the poem. There is a rhyme scheme which is AB AB, which continues throughout in the rest of the poem. There is also repetition in this poem, William Blake repeats the word â€Å"every† in the second stanza to put an emphasis on the fact that everyone is suffering, and not just a small group of people. He also repeats the words â€Å"cry† and â€Å"chartered†. The first line of the third stanza â€Å"chimney- sweepers cry† symbolizes how just like the chimney sweepers, everyone is being forced to do hard labour. The second line of the third stanza â€Å"every blackening church appals† is also symbolism because the word blackening represents corruption in the society. Imagery While reading the first stanza an image of a person walking down a chartered street is created in the reader’s mind. The reader imagines a dark street with people doing hard labour and frightened expressions on their face. William Blake uses words such as, â€Å"cry†, â€Å"weaknesses†, â€Å"woe† and â€Å"blackening† to show the hostility and corruption in the society. This society is the kind of place where there is a lot of injustice, a place where the people are crying out and are forced to do very hard labour. The rhyme scheme of this poem is AABB in the first and the following stanzas. There is an allusion in this poem which makes a reference to Ascension Day. In this poem it is called Holy Thursday because Ascension Day is supposed to be the Thursday 40 days after Easter day. This day commemorates the ascension of Christ into heaven. Another literary device used in this poem is oxymoron, which is in the second line of the third stanza. It says â€Å"harmonious thunderings†, and this is an oxymoron because usually when I person talks about thunder they describe it as loud and fearful, but in the poem it is said to be harmonious. There’s also a simile in this and it is in the third line of the first stanza. â€Å"Wands as white as snow† is a simile because it’s comparing two unlike things using the word as. The theme of this poem is about the end, and more specifically, of this world. When the author says â€Å"Some say the world will end in fire, some say in ice† he is telling the reader about the ways that they heard the world was going to end, which is either in fire or ice. The author favours fire over ice, but says that â€Å"if it had to perish twice† by the destruction of ice that, it would suffice for the author. Meaning, that would also do for him. Ballad- Allen Ginsberg-When I died When I died, love, when I died my heart was broken in your care; I never suffered love so fair as now I suffer and abide when I died, love, when I died. When I died, love, when I died I wearied in an endless maze that men have walked for centuries, as endless as the gate was wide when I died, love, when I died. When I died, love, when I died there was a war in the upper air: all that happens, happens there; there was an angel by my side when I died, love, when I died. The theme of this poem is of love and death. The speaker is talking to their loved ones about how when they died, they claimed to have seen things, such as, â€Å"an endless maze†, â€Å"a war in the upper air† and â€Å"an angel by their side†. When the speaker says that their heart was broken in their loved ones care and that they had never suffered love so fair, they are indirectly telling the reader that they did not regret their death because it was for the ones that they loved. Also, the reader is told directly that this poem is about love and death by the first line, itself, which is â€Å"when I died, love, when I died†.

My Dream House Essay

Generally, near the sea, in the coast, the temperature is softer than in the centre of a country, so I would like to live in a house next to the beach, where I can see the sea from the windows, hear the sound of water, enjoy a warm weather and walk on the sand every morning. If the house had a garden I would sow a lot of pine trees because on the one hand they have sweet-smelling and on the other hand they are evergreen trees which keep nice throughout the year. I would enjoy reading and listening to music if I sat in a comfortable swing under the shadow of the trees where also I would sit during the summer nights. My ideal house would be minimalist, without too ornaments and painted in white but with a well-equipped kitchen to try cook better every day. I wouldn’t like to live in an enormous and sumptuous house where you can lose in it, I only want a comfortable, clean and family house, which smell freshly washed clothes and where I feel happy. The house of my dreams. Well, I’m no very strict with the house. I think I would be able to live in whatever kind of flat or house. Now a days I’m well in mine. But if I were a filthy rich man, I would look for a place which were near the sea and the mountains. I love both of them, so I would like to have a house which were in the mountains, but that I could see the beach trough the windows. It would be great. The house should have two floors. In the first one, there should be the living room, the kitchen, a bathroom and my bedroom. In the second one, there should be at less four bedrooms where my children with their families, or some friends, could come when they wanted. It would be great to have a swimming pool, and why not, a helipad where we could park the helicopter of the family, and another one of some friends. That’s my dream. I’ve not achieved it yet, but I’m working in it. Every week I buy a â€Å"bonoloto†. Rent this ideal terraced house in the heart of the golf course in Islantilla. It’s perfectly situated, ten minutes walk from the beach and twenty minutes drive from Portugal and Huelva. It’s a nice house with all conforts. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious living room with chimney for the winter. It has a practical and modern kitchen with new microwave, iron, freezen, cooker and a diswasher for to make the most of your time. The house has big windows and a huge balcony, with confortable furnitures, it’s ideal for eating and sleeping the siesta outside in the summer. The neighbourhood is a luxurious residential area with padel court, swimming pool, gardens and a social club. There is a supermarket near to the house and a shopping center in the area. This place is perfect por walking, footing, hiking and above all golfing. This house is nice for two couples. Sorry no children and no pets and it’s a no- smoking house

A Unified And Empowered Europe Towards Modernization Essay

No matter how historical events are being interpreted Europe’s history after World War II suggest just one clear reality: it has unified its countries which were once shattered by bitter invasion and had since then been trying to move towards an empowered modern Europe. For whatever reasons others cannot believe and accept such reality, there is one certain thing about Europe after World War II: Europe’s dream of modernization defied its diversity of culture and differing political ideals. Before the war, Europe has traditionally been divided into East and West based by different political system; Communism and Capitalism. A new blend of Europe has been the main path which directed its member countries after the war. It is for this reason that this writer proposed to integrate the concept of unity or unification in the thematic title of this course. There are several events that will justify this assumption. For example, the power of Communism has significantly weakened after the war and so were the influences it left in the formerly communist countries then known as the Eastern bloc. With the call for unification and reconciliation by Winston Churchill in 1946 and the creation of European Union of Federalists, the desire of the people to completely pin down Soviet Union arose and heightened. The call for the establishment of United States in Europe called for uprisings and movements to express their disgust to its proponents. These events, instead of creating conflict had provided the people the opportunity to block the domination of European Union of Federalists and the United Nations of Europe and so the European (Atlantic) model of government was born. With the nationalistic aim of Schumann and Benet, Europeans were encouraged to reconciliation. What is remarkable however in with Schumann and Benet was that they were against America’s entering into the scene. The two stood to their beliefs that the Franco-German reconciliation should be left to the sole responsibility of the Europeans and not with the help of any nation. With this we can say that these European leaders genuinely aimed for a long-term unity of European countries. Europe also took vital steps towards modernization and progress by means of allowing the spirit of reconciliation dominates them. On May 01, 1950, the famous Schuman Declaration occurred which brought hopes for progress to the unifying Europe. The establishment of the European Coal and Steel Community marked that date in the European calendar. Such community was vital in the initial steps taken by Europe in moving towards genuine progress. The declaration made Germany, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg nod to the proposal of an authority. This is first time in the European history that these powerful countries agreed and united. Culture and religion were also major elements which played in the ideological division of Europe into East and West. However with modernization and the end of Cold War, Europe removed these walls. It is important to note that West Europe was then dominated by Western Christianity religion while the East bloc was dominated by Orthodox Christianity and Islam. Because of these, member countries of the two divisions clashed trying to display dominance over the other and genocide was the other’s most powerful tool. With the establishment of the European Union, eastern borders were extended through the countries dominated by Western and Eastern Orthodox civilizations. The memberships of most protestant and Roman Catholic countries in the European Union finally erased the mark of cultural conflict between the two divisions. The step by step movement of European countries towards unification brought considerably good results for the whole European nation. Despite the resistance of others to join the prominent European Union, Europe obviously is moving forward towards globalization. Although it is not the union which solely and ultimately unified Europe and its people, somehow the prominence of the European organization is of great help. As of May 2004, the European Union has 25 member countries after 10 countries joined including Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Cyprus and others. Such memberships are indications of the member countries’ willingness to extend help to each other. More importantly, these member countries now recognize a higher authority other than their own. With growing concerns on national security and issues of war and human aggression, European Union’s leaders have been criticizing each other point out the shortcomings of one another. Such disagreements do not however suggest that E. U. can no more live up to its dream of ultimate peace and unity. These situations especially in the political arena are indicative of the active participation and exercise of their power to choose and to independently decide for their people. Their unity as a legacy of the wars does not necessarily requires them to implement uniform laws and policies to their constituents. United Europe after the war had actually provided each member country the sense of accountability and responsibility by defending their stand over an issue that significantly affect them. Despite the diversity of culture and its bitter past, united Europe has been continuously moving towards a globally competitive and empowered nation. The wars undoubtedly left the enduring culture of hatred and violence behind. Europe was left with one vital responsibility to take: use its available time and resources to manage its economic, social and political affairs in the most prudent manner in such a way that it has secured its people and their future. There were no more walls in their midst, no more threat of genocide, and no more religious conflicts. Everyone is free to live a peaceful life in the land where no culture is regarded dominant over the other.
